Wild Turkey
📋 Wild turkey hunting is by special licence draw only (Wild Turkey Draw, p. 61). Hunters are asked to track days hunted per WMU for the harvest survey (p. 61). It is legal to hunt upland game birds and wild turkey with a single projectile (e.g. .22 rim fire or centre fire rifle), but illegal for migratory game birds (p. 62).

Wild Turkey
📋 Licences: Manitoba resident Wild Turkey $34.00; Manitoba resident (Youth) Wild Turkey $14.75. A landowner must purchase a Wild Turkey Licence to hunt wild turkey. Hunters may hunt in a party of two persons. Electronic calls are prohibited when hunting wild turkey; dogs may not be used by or accompany wild turkey hunters. Crossbow minimum 68 kg (150 lbs.) draw weight, broadhead 2.2 cm (7/8 in.) or greater; bow minimum 18.1 kg (40 lbs.). Tree stands/blinds for wild turkey can be placed up to 14 days before the season on Crown land and must be removed within 14 days of season close.

Wild Turkey
📋 Wild turkey hunters may only hunt in the WMZ indicated on their licence. Shotguns gauge 10 to 28 inclusive with shot sizes #4 to #7; bow with draw weight of at least 10 kg (22 lbs); or crossbow with draw weight of at least 68 kg (150 lbs). May not use bait, traps, dogs, or organized drives. Hunting on Sundays during the wild turkey hunting season is prohibited. Hunter orange not required. Harvested turkeys must be tagged immediately (tag attached to leg), transported with beard attached, and the Mandatory Wild Turkey Hunter Harvest Report submitted by June 14.
